BDA
- Bi-Directional Amplifiers / Repeaters
The
Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA) repeater system is a two- way repeater that
provides repeater/booster performance to extend the coverage of radio communications
in buildings, basements, tunnels and other RF shadow or RF shielded areas.
The BDA has two ports: One
port is connected to an antenna pointing to a base/ donor site. The other
port is connected to one or several antennas or to a feeder pointing at
the remote service area. The BDA receives signals from one antenna, amplifies
them and transmits through the other antenna. |

Fibre
Optic Bi-Directional Amplifiers / Repeaters
Fiber
Optic Repeaters use laser receivers and transmitters to link remote areas.
This type of link offers two distinct advantages over conventional RF cable:
-
RF signals can be transmitted
to distances as great as 20 Km with little RF loss.
-
The fiber optic cable is very
thin and easy to route.

TTA
- Tower Top Amplifiers
Tower
Top Amplifiers (TTA) improve cellular system sensitivity by filtering and
amplifying signals received at the base station antenna. It improves coverage,
and increases battery life. The TTA receives its DC power through the coaxial
cable.
The TTA is mounted near
the receive antenna and is designed to withstand demanding conditions,
and is reliable with excellent MTBF. Features such as lightning protection,
fault monitoring, fail-safe bypass circuitry are part in the design.
Options :
-
Power distribution unit (PDU)
based indoors for DC feeding, fault monitoring and remote alarming.
-
Bias tee for DC power supply.
-
Attenuators Box based indoors
and is used to reduce TTA gain and to balance the gain of TTA channels.
